Digital univ will help Indian students pursue quality edu: Academics
City academics have hailed finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s announcement of setting up of a digital university during her Budget speech on Tuesday. It is supposed to provide access to world class quality universal education to students with personalized learning experience at their doorsteps.
AICTE’s advisor from the city and its approval bureau head Rajendra Kakde said the FM’s announcement was in line with the government’s push for implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP). “Students of Indian origin who couldn’t go abroad for various reasons, particularly due to financial constraints, can now get world class education at the comforts of their homes anywhere in India. AICTE had already advocate such type of tieups between Indian and foreign institutions so that students could get access to top class education,” he said.
